i would prefer at least skipping the cutscenes until you know the rest of the mgs.

i havent played any of the other MGS games (well i have MGS2 sons of liberty but i havent played it yet, coz our PS3 cant play it) i know its awesome but is it worth me getting it if i havent played the other MGS games (like in order for the storyline)

It depends what yyou want, a military FPS (BF), or a tactical stealth game (MGS4).
